Answers to all of your questions

What is a Locksmith License and why is it important?

All locksmiths in the state of North Carolina are required to keep a valid NC Locksmith License.  This license certifies that the locksmith is legally allowed to provide locksmith services for hire in North Carolina.  Potential customers should get in the habit of asking to see a valid NC Locksmith License at the time of service.  Every licensed locksmith must complete an SBI/FBI background check and provide his or her fingerprints to the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation.  Each Locksmith License must be renewed every three years, and relevant continuing education requirements must also be satisfied.

Additionally, licensed locksmiths are obligated to uphold the Ethical Standards imposed by the Board.  From the NCLLB website: "Have you been scammed by an unlicensed locksmith? Report it to the Attorney General: 919-716-6000. Providing locksmith services without a license is a potential Class I Misdemeanor. Any subsequent arrests for providing locksmith services without a license may be charged as a Class I Felony."

Are you open 24 hours a day?

Nope (and we like to take vacations, too!), but you can find us during the daytime, plus some evenings & weekends.

What does CRL mean?

CRL stands for "certified, registered locksmith," as designated by the Associated Locksmiths Of America organization. As stated on their website, ALOA's certification program "provides a standard of knowledge and technical proficiency by which locksmiths can be recognized." Brian Donohoe earned this accreditation in 1999.

Are you licensed & insured?
